Solara is a striking silver color that will yield a very nice range of color depending on how much time is spent in the torch flame and the kiln. You can yield color ranging from transparent light yellow to deep transparent pinkish purples. The thinner the layer of color used the easier it is to control the striking.
When heated to the molten state, this color goes to clear, and as it cools will start to cycle through its color range getting darker and darker (example – from yellow to amber to purple) the more times you work it in the torch or kiln. - Mike Shelbo
